I'm Baldish (known as Bal in the corporate world of work and to the masses and referred to Disha by my mother’s side of the family) the founder and driving force behind this endeavour. As a lover of chai and a firm believer in the power of sharing moments over a warm cup, I felt compelled to create something special—a blend that captures the essence of India, celebrates the strength of women, and brings joy to the lives of busy individuals.
With Disha’s Chai I have embraced the opportunity to combine my heritage, love for chai, and entrepreneurial spirit into a venture that celebrates tradition, authenticity, and the art of savouring the moment.
The Birth of a Dream:
Growing up, I fondly remember the aromas that filled our kitchen when my mother and in the last few decades my mother-in-law would prepare their secret chai recipes. It was a ritual that brought our family together, creating cherished memories and moments of connection. As I navigated my own busy life, I realized that many others longed for that same comforting experience but lacked the time or knowledge to create it.
Inspired by both mums and driven by my desire to bring people together through the magic of masala chai, I embarked on a journey to create a brand that not only offered convenience but also honoured the rich cultural heritage of chai.
Crafting Authenticity:
Authenticity is at the heart of everything I do. My handcrafted masala chai blend is a result of meticulous sourcing, blending, and a deep respect for the traditions that define this beloved beverage. I work closely with trusted suppliers to ensure that each ingredient, from the robust Assam loose tea to the fragrant masala spices, meets my rigorous quality standards.
